At Carogas Services, we believe that respect for human rights is fundamental to how we conduct our business. We recognize that our operations, partnerships, and supply chains have the potential to affect people’s lives and communities. Our commitment is to ensure that every aspect of our work upholds the dignity, safety, and well-being of all individuals connected to our activities.
We are guided by international standards such as the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and relevant International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions. These principles shape how we identify, prevent, and address any adverse human rights impacts across our operations.
We integrate human rights considerations into our day-to-day decisions, from project design to service delivery. This includes our relationships with employees, contractors, host communities, and business partners.
Our approach rests on four pillars:
Respect and Dignity
We treat all individuals with fairness, respect, and equality. Discrimination, harassment, or any form of abuse has no place in our company or supply chain.
Safe and Fair Workplaces
We are committed to maintaining a workplace where every individual can work free from harm, coercion, or intimidation. We provide safe working conditions, fair compensation, and opportunities for personal and professional development.
Ethical Partnerships
We expect our suppliers, contractors, and business partners to share our commitment to human rights. We conduct due diligence to ensure that those we work with operate ethically, particularly in areas such as labor practices, security, and environmental management.
Community Engagement
Our work often brings us into close contact with local communities. We aim to build relationships based on transparency, trust, and mutual respect. We listen to community concerns and take steps to minimize any social or environmental impact arising from our operations.
Carogas Services prohibits the use of forced, bonded, or child labor in any form. We support freedom of association and the right of employees to engage in dialogue and collective bargaining. All employment decisions, including hiring, promotion, and compensation, are based on merit, ability, and performance.
Where security services are required to protect personnel, assets, or operations, we ensure that these are conducted responsibly and in accordance with the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR).
All security providers engaged by Carogas are expected to act lawfully and respect the rights and dignity of the people they encounter.
Reporting and Accountability
We encourage anyone (employees, contractors, or members of the public) to raise concerns related to human rights, ethics, or workplace conduct.
Reports can be made confidentially, and we commit to investigating all credible allegations promptly and fairly. Retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith will not be tolerated.
Human rights risks evolve with time, geography, and industry dynamics. We regularly review and strengthen our policies, training, and monitoring systems to align with best practices and stakeholder expectations.
Our goal is to contribute positively to the societies where we operate, promoting shared prosperity, inclusion, and human dignity.
